HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Well, it’s here, again!! Don’t quite believe that another cycle has begun, but my calendar assures me it is so. I hope you had a lovely Christmas – I certainly did – blessed with my Family and some dear Friends on Christmas Eve. Don’t children add to the magic? My Grandsons are 5 & 2 1/2 years, respectively, and the joy and excitement on their little faces was so profound – and contagious :))) I’m just a big kid when it comes to Christmas (some of the happiest moments in my life wrapped up here) – so I guess you could say there were 3 children present….hahaha…
And so, we enter 2019, the Year of the Pig. May it be prosperous, healthy and happy for us all :)) New energy, New beginnings, New decisions and paths to tread, New directions.
And gorgeous Summer weddings – wonderful… Though I hear the poor Photographers begging for a bit of cloud cover as this incredibly bright Ozzie sun beats down :)) And a word of warning: please make sure you’ve smothered yourselves in sunscreen! And take a hat! Having been sunburnt last week, myself, I can assure you that being a burnt offering is NOT fun…
I love what some Couples are giving their Guests as little “Thank You” Keepsakes for attending: tiny pots of Succulents or Native trees & flowers; little wooden hearts on pegs to stick on the fridge; little photo frames – great for showing off the best shot from the Photo Booth: stones with the Guests name; Inscribed fans – great at the moment!: Keyrings: Old fashioned Keys; Magnets: Lanyards with the Couple’s Names & Wedding date: Little ornaments…. the list goes on and on 🙂
And one of the nicest for the Couple, themselves: A large photo frame with their Names & Wedding details, and little wooden hearts that all the guests sign & slip into the frame through a gap in the top, so you can have fun recalling everyone who was there with you on the day – I really loved this, however, make sure you have BLACK pens for the signing, as black ink lasts longer (that’s why all Official documents are signed in black!).
Well, that’s all I have time for, today. Thank you for taking the time to read.
