Feeling Honoured:

Over the last 3 months I have been privileged to perform 3 Funerals and a Memorial Service. Whilst I LOVE doing Weddings, etc., with all their joy, being asked to handle the final tribute to a Person’s life is a huge honour, and an even bigger responsibility – sometimes quite daunting, but sooo fulfilling. I come away feeling as if I’ve done something really worthwhile with my words, my presence, and am truly humbled to have shared the stories of the Deceased’s life, as well as the joys and regrets of their Family. It is such an important task to undertake, and I’m very grateful for these opportunities. I believe a Person’s passing should be a great healing Celebration – every soul is important and unique and should be treated with as much respect, grace and care as possible, so allowing their Family to grieve each in their own way, as they need. A Celebrant is there to support emotionally, to listen, liaise, put it all together into a beautiful tribute – phew! I hope I will do many more :)) Cheers…
